What is this? Pistachios from Iran may have small amounts of mold poisons called aflatoxin and ochratoxin. These can be harmful if eaten a lot over time.
What's happening? Some pistachios sold in the Netherlands, Belgium, and other places were found to have too much of these poisons. They were recalled.
Does this affect me? If you bought pistachios from these countries, check the package or store for a recall notice.
What should I do? Do not eat the pistachios. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you feel sick after eating them.
