What is this? Aflatoxins are harmful substances made by moulds that can grow on rice and other grains. They can cause health problems if eaten in large amounts over time.
What's happening? Some whole grain Basmati rice from Italy and Pakistan may have too much aflatoxin. This has been found in rice sold in several European countries.
