What is this? Aflatoxins are harmful substances made by moulds. They can grow on nuts like almonds if not stored properly.
What's happening? Some almonds from Australia were found to have too much aflatoxin. Spain stopped these almonds at the border.
Does this affect me? If you bought almonds from Australia recently, check where they came from. Only almonds from Australia may be affected.
What should I do? If you have these almonds, do not eat them. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you feel unwell after eating them.
