What is this? Groundnuts (peanuts) may contain tiny amounts of a harmful substance called aflatoxin. This can happen if the nuts were stored poorly.
What's happening? Some groundnuts from Egypt were found to have too much aflatoxin. These nuts were stopped at the Dutch border.
Does this affect me? If you bought groundnuts recently, check where they came from. Only nuts from Egypt might be affected.
What should I do? If you have groundnuts from Egypt, throw them away. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you feel unwell after eating them.
