What is this? Groundnuts (peanuts) can sometimes have tiny mold poisons called aflatoxins. These can be harmful if eaten too much.
What's happening? A batch of groundnuts from Egypt was found to have too much aflatoxin. They were stopped at the Dutch border.
Does this affect me? If you bought groundnuts recently, check where they came from. Only those from Egypt might be a problem.
What should I do? If you have groundnuts from Egypt, throw them away. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you feel unwell after eating them.
