What is this? Aflatoxin B1 is a poison made by moulds that can grow on rice. It can make you very ill if you eat too much.
What's happening? Some basmati rice from India has too much aflatoxin B1. The rice has been taken off store shelves in the Netherlands.
Does this affect me? If you bought basmati rice from India, check the package. You may have some at home.
What should I do? Do not eat the rice. Throw it away or return it to the shop. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you feel unwell.
