What is this? Aflatoxins are harmful substances made by moulds. They can sometimes be found in pistachios.
What's happening? Some pistachios from Türkiye were found to have too much aflatoxin. Belgium stopped these nuts at the border.
Does this affect me? If you bought pistachios recently, check where they came from. Only pistachios from Türkiye may be affected.
What should I do? If you are worried, ask your pharmacist or doctor before eating them.
