What is this? Peanuts from Brazil may have small amounts of mold poisons called aflatoxins. These can be harmful if eaten over time.
What's happening? The Dutch food safety team found too much aflatoxin in some Brazilian peanuts. They stopped those peanuts from being sold.
Does this affect me? If you bought peanuts from Brazil recently, check the package. If you’re unsure, do not eat them.
What should I do? Throw away any suspect peanuts. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you feel unwell after eating them.
