What is this? Some groundnut kernels from India have tiny mold poisons called aflatoxins. These can be harmful if eaten a lot.
What's happening? The Dutch food safety team found too much aflatoxin in these nuts. They stopped the shipment at the border.
Does this affect me? Only if you have Indian groundnuts at home. Most people in the Netherlands are not affected.
What should I do? Throw away any Indian groundnuts you have. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you feel sick after eating nuts.
