What is this? Aflatoxins are harmful substances made by moulds. They can sometimes be found in nuts like groundnuts.
What's happening? Some organic groundnuts from Egypt were found to have too much aflatoxin. Belgium stopped these nuts at the border.
Does this affect me? Only if you bought these groundnuts in Belgium. Most people are not affected.
What should I do? If you have these nuts, throw them away. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you feel unwell.
