What is this? Aflatoxins are harmful substances made by moulds. They can grow on pistachios if not stored right.
What's happening? Some pistachios from Turkey had too much aflatoxin. Germany stopped them at the border.
Does this affect me? Only if you bought pistachios from Turkey. Most store-bought nuts are safe.
What should I do? Throw away any Turkish pistachios you have. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you feel sick.
