What is this? Olive pomace oil is a type of oil made from leftover parts of olives. It may have small amounts of harmful chemicals called polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons.
What's happening? Some batches of this oil had too much of these chemicals. The problem has been fixed, but the oil was sold in a few countries.
Does this affect me? If you bought olive pomace oil in Poland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Iraq, Italy, Malaysia, Romania, or Russia, check your bottle.
What should I do? Stop using the oil and ask your pharmacist or doctor if you have questions.
