What is this? Some chicken drumsticks from India have small amounts of two farm sprays called fenpropathrin and methamidophos. These sprays are not allowed on chicken in the EU.
What's happening? France stopped these drumsticks at the border because the sprays were found. The risk is low, but the product does not meet EU rules.
Does this affect me? Only if you bought these drumsticks in France. Most stores did not sell them.
What should I do? If you have any left, return them to the shop. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you feel unwell after eating them.
