What is this? Miso from China has been found to contain a type of genetically changed plant protein called Cry1Ab/Ac. This protein is not allowed in food in the EU.
What's happening? The Dutch government stopped some miso from China at the border because it had this extra protein. They say it may not be safe.
Does this affect me? If you have miso from China, it might be the one with the extra protein. Check your package.
What should I do? Do not eat it. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you feel unwell after eating it.
