What is this? Some aubergines from the Dominican Republic have too much pesticide. Two pesticides are named: carbofuran and chlorpyrifos.
What's happening? Germany stopped these aubergines at the border. The pesticides were higher than allowed.
Does this affect me? Only if you bought aubergines from the Dominican Republic recently. Most stores in Germany did not sell them.
What should I do? If you have these aubergines, throw them away. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you feel unwell after eating them.
