What is this? Pitahaya (also called dragon fruit) is a sweet, spiky fruit. Sometimes extra chemicals called pesticides can stay on the skin or inside.
What's happening? Some pitahaya from Ecuador had too much pesticide left on them. This was found in stores in Luxembourg, France, Germany, and the Netherlands.
Does this affect me? If you bought pitahaya in those countries, you may have some at home. The risk is low, but it’s good to check.
