What is this? Some yams from China have small amounts of three pesticides. These are chemicals used to kill bugs or fungus on crops.
What's happening? The yams were found to have too much of these pesticides. They were sold in the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, Sweden, and the UK.
Does this affect me? If you bought yams from these countries, you may have some. The risk is serious but the amount is small.
What should I do? Do not eat the yams. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you feel unwell after eating them.
