What is this? Tricyclazol is a chemical used to protect rice plants from disease. Sometimes small amounts can stay on the rice after it is grown.
What's happening? Some Basmati rice sold in Germany and the Netherlands has more tricyclazol than allowed. This was found during checks.
Does this affect me? If you bought Basmati rice in Germany or the Netherlands, you may have some at home.
What should I do? Do not eat the rice. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you feel unwell after eating it.
