What is this? Some dried dill tips may have small amounts of two chemicals called chrysene and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. These can come from pollution in the air or soil.
What's happening? A batch of dill tips from Uzbekistan, sold through Germany, had higher levels of these chemicals than allowed. The problem has been fixed.
Does this affect me? If you bought dried dill tips in the Netherlands or Germany, check if they came from this batch.
What should I do? Stop using the dill if you have it. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you feel unwell.
