What is this? A food additive used in some ices and desserts may contain a small amount of a chemical called ethylene oxide. This chemical is sometimes used as a pesticide.
What's happening? Some batches of ices and desserts made with this additive have been found to have ethylene oxide. This is not allowed in food.
Does this affect me? If you have eaten these ices or desserts in Belgium, Andorra, China, France, Germany, Greece, Japan, Luxembourg, Morocco, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Korea, Spain, or the United Kingdom, you may have been exposed.
