What is this? Some UHT milk may have tiny bits of graphite in it. Graphite is a soft, black material sometimes used in pencils.
What's happening? A check found graphite particles in certain UHT milk cartons. The problem has now been fixed.
Does this affect me? If you bought UHT milk in Italy or Malta, check your carton.
What should I do? Do not drink the milk. Return it to the shop for a refund. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you feel unwell.
