What is this? Some groundnuts (peanuts) from Brazil have a small amount of a chemical called triclopyr. This is not allowed in food sold in the EU.
What's happening? The nuts were checked and found to have this chemical. They were taken off the market. No one is in danger.
Does this affect me? Only if you bought groundnuts from Brazil recently. Most people are not affected.
What should I do? If you have these nuts, throw them away. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you feel unwell.
