What is this? A small number of baby chickens (poussins) sent from France to Denmark may carry salmonella germs.
What's happening? Danish officials found salmonella in some of these young birds. They have stopped the rest from being sold.
Does this affect me? Only if you bought live poussins recently. Most people do not keep these birds.
What should I do? If you have any, wash your hands after touching them and ask your doctor or pharmacist if you feel unwell.
