What is this? Ground cumin is a spice made from crushed cumin seeds. It may contain small amounts of natural poisons called pyrrolizidine alkaloids.
What's happening? Some ground cumin sold in Europe had too much of these poisons. Authorities found this and told stores to stop selling it.
