What is this? Peanuts from Brazil were found to have small amounts of two farming chemicals, triclopyr and haloxyfop, that are not allowed in food sold in the EU.
What's happening? The Dutch food safety office stopped a batch of these peanuts at the border because of the extra chemicals.
Does this affect me? Only if you bought these peanuts in the Netherlands. Most stores did not sell them.
What should I do? If you have any, throw them away. If you feel unwell after eating them, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
