What is this? Some plastic toys may have too much of certain chemicals called phthalates. These chemicals can be harmful if touched or put in the mouth.
What's happening? Toys sold in Malta were found to have high levels of these chemicals. This is against safety rules.
Does this affect me? If you have young children who play with plastic toys, they may be at risk.
What should I do? Stop using these toys right away. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you need more advice.
