What is this? This is a string of 100 small LED Christmas lights sold under the brands AB.M and IDEA. They are meant for indoor and outdoor holiday decorating.

What's happening? The wires inside the lights are not held safely in place and the plastic coating is weak. Water can get in, or someone can touch the bare wires, which could give an electric shock.

Does this affect me? If you own these lights in Hungary, you could be at risk of electric shock when using them outside.

What should I do? Stop using the lights right away. Ask a shop or a store where you bought them for a refund or a safe replacement. Talk to a pharmacist or doctor if you feel a shock.
