- During the production process, the wheel axle of the differential gear in the drive unit has been mounted without a circlip. This can result in the wheel axle migrating. There is an acoustic abnormality in the drive unit. This can additionally lead to oil seepage, loss of drive power and/or failure of the parking lock. This increases the risk of accident and injuries.

What is this? This is about a problem in some BMW iX3 cars. A small part called a circlip was left out when the wheel axle was put in.
