Hazard: The plastic in a charger cable has an excessive concentration of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured value up to 1.14% by weight). The product also has an excessive concentration of short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) (measured value up to 3.59 % by weight). DEHP may harm the health by possibly possible damage to the reproductive system. SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bio-accumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment. Prolonged exposure to them through the skin may cause cancer.

What is this? A children’s digital camera with a charger cable that has too much harmful plastic softener (DEHP) and another chemical (SCCPs).
