- The rubber of the balloon releases an excessive amount of n-nitrosodiethylamine (NDEA), n-nitrosomorpholine (NMOR) and n-nitrosodiethanolamine (NDELA) (measured values: 0.008 mg/kg, 0.060 mg/kg and 0.050 mg/kg, respectively). NDEA, NMOR, and NDELA are n-nitrosamines, which may cause cancer through ingestion or dermal exposure. A child could be exposed to it when touching or putting the product in the mouth.
