What is this? A gas boiler made by Ferroli may still have water inside from when it was made. That water can grow harmful bacteria called Legionella.
What's happening? Legionella can grow in the heat exchanger and pipes. If you breathe in the mist from a shower, you could get very sick.
Does this affect me? This problem is in the Netherlands and Latvia. If you own one of these boilers, you may be at risk.
What should I do? Ask your installer or a heating engineer to check and flush the boiler. If you feel unwell, talk to your doctor.
