Hazard: The plastic material of the product contains an excessive amount of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate(DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP) diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP) and di-‘isononyl’ phthalate (DINP) (measured values up to 9.22%, 0.22%, 0.12% and 0.13% by weight respectively). In addition, the product also contains an excessive concentration of short chained chlorinated paraffines SCCP (measured value up to: 1749 mg/kg by weight) SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bio-accumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment. Prolonged exposure to them through the skin may cause cancer.
