Also the plastic in the charger cable has an excessive concentration of lead (measured value up to 1.3% by weight). Lead poses a risk to the environment. The plastic in a charger cable has an excessive concentration of dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP) (measured values up to 0.56% and 0.73 % by weight, respectively). These phthalates may harm the health by possibly causing damage to the reproductive system. The product has an excessive concentration of short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) (measured value up to 1.52 % by weight). SCCPs persist in the environment, are toxic to aquatic organisms at low concentrations and bio-accumulate in wildlife and humans, posing a risk to human health and the environment. Prolonged exposure to them through the skin may cause cancer.

What is this? This is a small light projector called the mikamax Ocean Projector Pot. It plugs into a USB port to show moving ocean pictures on the wall.
What's happening? Tests found too much lead in the projector’s circuit boards and in the charger cable’s plastic. Tests also found harmful phthalates and chlorinated paraffins in the cable.
Does this affect me? If you own this projector in Sweden, children or anyone who touches the cable often could be at risk.
What should I do? Stop using it right away. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you have any health worries. Return the product to where you bought it.
