- Due to incorrect fitting, the plastic part of the fuel supply hose can come loose from the metal part. If the fault occurs when the engine is running, the fuel pump stops after eight seconds. This can cause the engine to stop, leading to a loss of control over the vehicle, creating a risk of accidents and injuries. Moreover, it can lead to fuel leaks contacting hot engine parts. This increases the risk of the vehicle catching fire.
