Hazard: The solders in the flashlight have an excessive concentration of lead (measured value up to 19.1% by weight). The casing lid to the camping lantern has an excessive concentration of brominated flame retardants (PBDE) (measured value up to 0.18% by weight). Lead poses a risk to the environment. PBDE might cause neurodevelopmental behavioural defects and is very persistent and bio-accumulative, posing a risk for the environment and human health.

What is this? This is a camping flashlight and lantern sold in Sweden. Tests found too much lead in the flashlight’s solder and too much flame-retardant chemical in the lantern’s lid.
What's happening? The extra lead and chemical can harm people and the environment. Lead hurts nature; the flame retardant may affect brain development and stays in the body.
Does this affect me? Anyone who owns this kit may be exposed. Children and pregnant women are most at risk.
What should I do? Stop using the flashlight and lantern. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you feel unwell. Return the kit to the shop for a refund.
