- Vehicles equipped with diesel engines may experience fuel leakage from the common rail due to an out of specification roundness on the common rail cone. This may lead to poor sealing with the high-pressure pipe nut. As a result, fuel may leak between the nut and the common rail cone, creating fuel vapour and fuel flow towards the hot exhaust system. This can result in an under-hood fire.

What is this? Toyota Proace and Proace City vans may have a problem with the fuel line. The fuel line part may not be round enough. This can let fuel leak near the hot engine.
What's happening? Some vans could leak fuel near the engine. Fuel vapour near hot parts can start a fire under the hood.
