What is this? Volkswagen cars have a safety part called the driver airbag. The airbag uses a small gas canister to fill up fast in a crash.
What's happening? The gas canister inside some older VW cars may get weak over many years. If the airbag goes off, pieces could fly out and hurt the driver.
Does this affect me? This problem is in certain VW cars sold in some European countries. Check if your car is listed.
