What is this? Some bamboo cups from China may have a chemical called formaldehyde in them. Formaldehyde can move from the cup into drinks.
What's happening? These cups were sold in Germany, Denmark, France, Greece, the Netherlands, and the UK. Tests found too much formaldehyde coming out of the cups.
Does this affect me? If you bought one of these bamboo cups, stop using it. Do not drink from it.
What should I do? Throw the cup away. Ask your pharmacist or doctor if you feel unwell after using it.
